FAQS
Caring for your Kindred Pieces jewellery
Sterling silver can oxidise with time. Storing your jewellery in tarnish prevention cloths or bags helps to slow down the tarnishing process, and keeps the jewellery from rubbing against harder jewellery that might scratch it.
Don’t wear sterling silver in chlorinated water or when working with household chemicals.
Do not rub silver with anything other than a polishing cloth. Tissue paper or paper towels can cause scratches because of the fibres in these products.
Cleaning your Kindred Pieces jewellery
Hand washing your pendants in warm soapy water, then rinsing in clean warm water is the best way to clean your jewellery. Dry them with a clean, lint-free cloth.
Children's Safety
The safety of children is incredibly important to us. Special care should be taken when a child is wearing jewellery.
Please note that children under the age of three years, must wear our jewellery under adult supervision at all times.
Jewellery is made of small parts and can present a choking hazard.
For children under the age of 3 we recommend:
- always supervising the child when wearing jewellery
- removing the jewllery when the child is unattended, even if it is only for a short period of time
- removing the jewellery while the child sleeps at day or night not allow the chew to mouth or chew the jewellery
